Cambodia: The Land of Khmer

I barely knew Cambodia about its history, culture and its people. But I still got a memory of this beautiful place that captured me and got on my travel bucket list. I've seen it from the books and to the big screen Lara Croft: Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie. It is a treasure that have been known to the world, the grandeur of Angkor Wat.

So after five hours by Kumho Samco bus from Ho Chi Minh, we have finally stepped down to the Land of Khmers - Cambodia. Actually, our destination is Siem Reap, but since we are going to pass by Phnom Penh, might as well stay here for a night and check the place which is actually the center of political, industrial and cultural heritage of Cambodia.

As soon as we arrived, we checked in at our hotel and secured our transport to Siem Reap for the next day. The hotel was able to get us our bus schedule and also a recommended hotel in Siem Reap. When we settled. We went out to look for food and check the night out. While having dinner, we met some friendly locals offering us for a day tour package. They were really good that is why we closed the deal with them.

Our tour started at 11 in the morning next day. We were able to fire out our anger at Phnom Penh Shooting Range. LOL. Just kidding. Where would that come from. We just had a quick firing session. And after that, next stop is the Killing Fields which turned our emotions down. I will tell you more about it on my upcoming posts.

We took our lunch near the area when we finished the tour. We headed back to the hotel since our departure time is 3PM. I saw a lot of amazing structures that I wanted to check in to, but we did not have enough time. Unfortunately, we missed out our bus so we rebooked it to 12 midnight but fortunately we were able to get back to the other places we missed out.
