Bantayan Island: Postcards from Cebu

11 comments:
School is about to end. It's the time of the year where everyone is out and about seeking the sun.

Planning for a summer vacation yet?

If you are looking for a nice and quiet view aside from being a beautiful beach. Then, let's go to Cebu. There are a lot of places to visit in Cebu, but what I really enjoyed most is Bantayan island.

When in Bantayan Island
St. Peter and Paul Church
Ogtong Cave inside Santa Fe Beach Club
Madridejos Kota Park and Bontay Baywalk
Merienda at Kermit’s
D’Jungle Buffet Dinner every Friday
Visit local market for pasalubong (offers the best danggit and a variety of dried fishes)

You can rent a motorbike/motorcycle for about a 100/hour and drive around the small island of Bantayan consisting of three towns: Santa Fe, Madridejos and Bantayan.

The two(2) published photos are my favorite taken at the beachfront of Budyong Beach Resort. Just thought I made my own postcard. :P

How's your FRIDAY people?

Still have that food inside you last night? Well, I'm talking about the street celebration of Food they call, Banchetto. As their tagline would say, it's “a different ambiance, a unique concept and an awesome dining experience!”

And yes, you can enjoy a variety of street food worth a hundred peso or less.

Hungry still?
But wait!! there's more.... :)

Visit Banchetto every Friday 12 midnight until Saturday 11 in the morning just right at the middle of Emerald Avenue Street (now called F. Ortigas Jr. Ave) in Ortigas Center.

During Wednesdays & Thursdays at 8.30pm until 6am the next day, another Banchetto is held at FORUM Robinson's Pioneer. Located at the back of Cybergate Plaza and Tower 1 Delivery Bay area of FORUM Robinson's Pioneer Street corner EDSA, Barangka Ilaya, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

Chinese and Hindu Temples in Singapore

Last year, I stayed at Jalan Besar in Singapore just near Mustafa Centre and MRT via purple line, Farrer Park. But I never get to see around the place because the only place I visited is the Universal Studios in Sentosa Island.

I didn't know there were Chinese and Hindu Temples on the area that I missed and is just about 10-20 minutes walk. You might wanna go check it out, it is just along Serangoon Road.

HINDU TEMPLES

Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple

Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple

Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple

CHINESE TEMPLES

Leong San See Temple

Buddha Gaya Temple

It is really enjoying travelling on foot, with just maps at hand and a tourist guide book, its like solving a puzzle. :P It gets cheap but still you get to witness beautiful things on earth.
