Eat Bulaga Indonesia Opening Theme

1 comment:
I just gotta blog this.

Well, as you might have heard of - Eat Bulaga, the longest running noontime variety show in the Philippines had been franchised by Indonesia's SCTV Network and started airing the show's first international version last July 16. This year makes Eat Bulaga, 33 years old and it's really nice to hear that it has been there to share the laughter and joy not only for the Philippines, but now together with our friendly neighbor, Indonesia.

I was just doing my daily round ups when I stumbled on this video. The opening theme song of Eat Bulaga! Indonesia! (I just know a bit of Indonesian words and learning the language, I think this is gonna be my first Indonesian song...)

Is Jessica Sanchez the new American Idol

4 comments:
The finale of the eleventh season of American Idol is here. And like we have been telling #AmericanIdol #swag JChez is definitely not leaving since the drama on the top 7 week when the judges saved her. She definitely spiced up the whole competition and stayed for the Top 3. I haven't watched all the contestants in their elimination pieces but only Jessica Sanchez. All her performances, I have watched and liked her sound. I have some selected best performances from other favorite contestants though.

Joshua Ledet's When A Man Loves A Woman

Philip Phillips' You Got It Bad

Colton Dixon's Love The Way You Lie

Jessica Sanchez Leaves American Idol

5 comments:
American Idol #swag and favorite Jessica Sanchez was voted in the bottom three with fellow Idol contestants Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet. Shocking as is, because Sanchez and Ledet are the front-runners of the show running on its 11th season. As Sanchez sang her last chance song, dramatically judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler rushed off the stage and stop her from singing and saved her from the elimination.

Here is the video of all the drama.

El Gamma Penumbra Choose Philippines for Fun

4 comments:
Choose Philippines is a project initiative of ABS-CBN Regional Network Group on promoting tourism in the country by providing information on travel, places, events, food, and people of the Philippines.

After the launch of this first geo-social networking website on 15th of April 2011, it was just in time El Gamma Penumbra, a PGT finalist and my PGT Season 3 Grand Winner bet, caught the eye of many by showcasing their talent in shadow play and aimed to uplift the Pinoy spirit and pride.

Then recently, I heard from my friend Anton here about this web sensation unveiling a new version of Choose Philippines music video using the song Piliin mo Ang Pilipinas composed by Allan Dannug, and arranged by Marvin Querido. The song was sung by Angeline Quinto and Vincent Bueno which inspired me to write the post I Choose Philippines Too..

Pacquaio-Marquez Final Match in Trilogy this November 2011

No comments:
Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez is all warmed up to finish the fight they have started since 2004. This November 12, 2011 at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the trilogy ends between the best of the best fighters of the world. The battle of this two great boxers have been much talked about because of the controversial decisions -- the first was a draw, and the second in favor with Pacquiao.
Image from the web

Yet, another day that is surely marked by most Filipinos to watch and wait for the fight of The People's Champ or Pambansang Kamao, just a few names given to the No. 1 pound-for-pound best boxer of the world and the Fighter of the Decade, Manny Pacquiao.

A usual scene in a bar when Pacquiao is on fight. Surely, Filipinos will flock to the cinemas, restaurants and hotels, in their homes and in every community and streets in the Philippines and around the world to cheer for the boxing hero.

My PGT Season 3 Grand Winner

20 comments:
This season of Pilipinas Got Talent has really made it difficult who to pick for the Grand Winner. Unlike the first two seasons, the overwhelming charisma of the soon to be grand winners have obviously been seen since their auditions. This two are no other than Jovit Baldivino and Marcelito Pomoy.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 have showed us a lot more talents like contemporary dance, shadow play, gymnastics and acrobatics, aside of course, from singing. I have already picked my Top 3 Grand Finalists which was coincidental with what the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino have said, that they (judges) have been mandated by Freemantle, to make the season "not Pilipinas Got Singing Talent but to show that we have different forms of talent".

So, I'm gonna vote.

I will have to give the 3rd place to the Lucky Twins. I don't know if its just me but they dance really well. I mean, they kinda connect to the audience in every performance they have made. I am one with FMG when he said, "I have never seen a dance presentation as beautiful as yours". Good enough to be on the third place.

Now, we're down to the remaining two, for me, it's really a tight fight between Synergy and El Gamma Penumbra. Both groups have really amazed me on this grand showdown. The only finalist the judges made a STANDING OVATION is the Synergy whom I will also agree their performance is really jaw dropping that I could also give them a standing ovation. But also, El Gamma Penumbra made a very difficult art of shadow playing. Both are world class.

Though I have seen shadow plays like The Silhouettes of America’s Got Talent, I felt a bit lacking with Synergy when they finished their routines. I wanted more.

So, my vote for Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner is still El Gamma Penumbra who gave the best performances from start to end.

What about yours?? Who is your Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner? The pressure is up on us, guys. The results of this Grand Finals would be based on public votes. So, vote! vote! vote!

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner Results

No comments:
After catching up Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Finals via live streaming, the event that was held at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo has been the top trending topic not only to the country, Philippines but worldwide.
Though I was only able to see a glimpse of the program, like, the part when the Synergy Dance Troupe were performing which is actually near the end. I have been handed down the results.

Of course, it's not the actual results of the talent show. But the results of the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner in Google Pilipinas.
Yep, that's me on page 1.. (heheh sumabit lang..)

They all did great for this season. We've seen a lot of talents from around the country. But there is only one who will emerge as the Grand Winner of this season's Pilipinas Got Talent and I have my own pick already.

Here are the lists of Grand Finalists for Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3

El Gamma Penumbra (Voters' Choice)
Lucky Twins (Judges' Choice)
Sandugo Band (Voters' Choice)
Muriel Lomadilla (Judges' Choice)
Bringas Brothers (Jefferson & Kurt Bringas) (Voters' Choice)
Synergy (Judges' Choice)
Loverkada Kids (Voters' Choice)
Twin Divas (Judges' Choice)
Maasinhon Trio (Voters' Choice)
Renagine Pepito (Judges' Choice)
Khalil Joseph Ramos (Voters' Choice)
Kiriko (Judges' Choice)

I have three finalists that struck me the most: El Gamma Penumbra who showcased the Philippines since their auditions. The charm of the Lucky Twins in their graceful dance. And the madness of Synergy Dance Troupe with their jaw dropping routines.

I will have to watch the whole episode first for tomorrow and let you know who is my Pilipinas Got Talent Grant Winner.

The voting starts now!!!

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 for Grand Finals

4 comments:
After watching the 5th semifinals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 last weekend (October 8 & 9), I felt like the judges were eyeing for Renagine Pepito to be the next Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner.

Sure, this girl "has" it. She's just 11 years old from Cagayan De Oro City belting out Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing. But I think his audition piece (video attached) is much better than when I saw her on the semifinals doing the Michael Jackson's You are not Alone. And that's -- something. I mean, I was expecting more powerful choice of song. But she just gave a safe and good performance. So my vote is still gonna go with El Gamma Penumbra since their performances were consistently going up to my expectations and I think they really got more. But who knows, something might just turn out more exciting in the finals.

For this weekend, who among this finalists will take that last 2 slots to make it for the Grand Finals:

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 6 Semifinals
Techno Jazz Cheerdancers
Jett Barrun
Jane Ann Arnado
Flip Duo
Khalil Joseph Ramos
Kiriko Rap Group

Meanwhile, here are the waiting lists for Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Finals.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 5 Semifinals
Maasinhon Trio
Renagine Pepito

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 4 Semifinals
Loverkada Kids
Twin Divas

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 3 Semifinals
Bringas Brothers
Synergy

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 2 Semifinals
Sandugo Band
Muriel Lomadilla

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Week 1 Semifinals
El Gamma Penumbra
Lucky Twins

The Grand Finals is just near and soon another Grand Winner will be out to shine. So don't forget to watch Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 every weekends at 830PM.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner Pick

3 comments:
I have always loved to watch Pilipinas Got Talent since its first season. I really admire those Filipinos who shares their talent and at the same time give pride to our country.

I have not yet seen all the 36 semifinalists showcasing their talent. But even now, after the third week of semifinals, I am still rooting for El Gamma Penumbra.

El Gamma Penumbra took the stage on the first semifinals week with the rendition of 'Babalik Ka Rin' by Gary Valenciano, an equally superb performance since I saw them in their audition.

Their performance is really amazing and makes me so proud as a Filipino. They really can showcase their talent well and charm the world with the beauty of the Philippines by means of shadow play. Because of this, the audience have put them to the first slot to compete on the Grand Finals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3.

Let's find out who will be the next Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner every weekends at 830PM.

I Choose Philippines Too

3 comments:
I have just recently watched this video of Star Power Angeline Quinto singing “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas” with Vince Bueno.

This advocacy that was launched on 'ASAP Rocks', the top-rated variety show of ABS-CBN, is making me one proud Filipino and proud of the Philippines. I have always wanted to visit our Philippines before I step down to any foreign land and this is evident on my Travel Philippines widget.

It's just a few but as you can see, it really is a treasure to keep. I would definitely add more to this list in the days to come because we have a lot more. Philippines has 7,107 islands. As for now, mine is to share the beauty of the Philippines and what it has to offer to foreign friends I chanced to meet. And as our newly appointed DOT chief Ramon Jimenez would say, 'We deserve a visit from the world'.

PGT's El Gamma Penumbra Tara Na Byahe Tayo

3 comments:
It is given that one of the many talents of Filipinos is singing. The likes of International Singer Lea Salonga and of course, Youtube Singing Sensation and now International Young Diva, Charice Pempengco are obvious examples that we can be proud of. That is also why our first two grand winners of Pilipinas Got Talent -- Jovit Baldivino and Marcelito Pomoy stood out as well, with their powerful voices. Though Pilipinas Got Talent is sometimes criticized to becoming like a singing contest because of this, I would still be one of them, not because the two grand winners were my personal bet even since they did their auditions but the fact that they have swept away the hearts of many Filipinos.

Now, PGT is on its 3rd season and since I started viewing the auditions, I have seen a lot of singing, dancing and many other talents but I haven't been too much amazed until I saw Batangas Pride, El Gamma Penumbra aired last Saturday July 30, 2011.
They did a shadow play of promoting tourism for our country, Philippines. The musical score is from the Department of Tourism's and Bonamine's travel campaign WOW PHILIPPINES Byahe Tayo! The visuals were truly patriotic which showed our national animal - carabao, national dance - tinikling, national flower - gumamela and some Filipino way of living - nipa hut (bahay kubo), fields (bukid), tricycle, jeepney, kalesa as means of transportation and even famous monument as that of Bonifacio Monument and a lot more to see in the Philippines.

Well, I think it is still too early for me to make a bet, but if a unique and amazing performance is again to be witness from El Gamma Penumbra, then maybe this time Pilipinas Got Talent will have to show the world another amazing Filipino talent besides from singing.

Marcelito Pomoy is PGT's Grand Winner Season 2

6 comments:
I have always been a fan of Pilipinas Got Talent, where Filipinos get to show off their world-class talent. This is so evident on my Season 1 cover on Television label of my blog.

Though I was not able to watch the whole phase of PGT Season 2, I have had some faves already during the auditions and semifinals.

And when I got home last June 25-26, 2011, I dint know it was in time for PGT's Grand Finals.

I've seen some familiar faces but definitely, Marcelito Pomoy made a stand-out to the rest of the grand finalist.

This performance was so brilliant!!! If you'd notice, in every line that he sung, the crowd got wild. Araneta Coliseum gave him a standing ovation and soon declared as Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner for Season 2.

And I still remember his audition..

Global Pinoy Singing Idol Grand Finals

No comments:
Yesterday (June 19, 2011) - Marking the 25th year of radio broadcasting news and services, DZMM's Silveradyo in cooperation with the Filipino Association of Singapore (FAS) presents the first ever singing caravan in Singapore. Sixteen talents compete on Global Pinoy Singing Idol Grand Finals held at NTUC Auditorium Level 7 Singapore.

Here are the Pinoy Singing Idols and their Tagalog Songs:
(First Batch)

The acoustic guy and singer-composer Jimmy Bondoc was cool and entertaining. He sang The Man Who Can't Be Moved, Let Me Be The One, and his own rendition of Kanlungan.

(Second Batch)
Mayo Ong - Paano
Ronald Maranan - Kastilyong Buhangin
Dempy Dumdum - Patuloy ang Pangarap
Gerard Gonzales - Ikaw Lamang
Billy Calili - Panalangin

Orville Alderite - Home
Dempy Dumdum - One Moment In Time
Asher Gad Cacho - Goodbye's Not Forever
Gerson Lapid Jr - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going
Jerus del Soccoro - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

Star Power Angeline Quinto was pretty in pink. When she sang 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' on stage, it's true -- she sounded like Regine Velasquez. She got the powerful voice but hers is more bolder.

Asher Gad Cacho and Jerus del Soccoro took home SGD1000 and won the Global Pinoy Singing Idol.

Manny Pacquiao is Highest Paid Athlete

3 comments:
After winning the fight from American boxer, Mosley. Manny Pacquiao has been listed in Asia's 10 richest athletes by Yahoo Singapore Finance.

The Fighter of the Decade is worth a whooping $38 million for the year 2010 alone having two fights along with his acting and singing career.

For me, I am not really fond of boxing but when I hear about Pacquiao, well this gotta be a one hell of a holiday when every fight he has is watched by most Filipinos in the Philippines and all around the world.

Manny Pacquaio really makes every Filipino proud. From his humble beginnings to where he is now, he really deserve it and its worth all his hard work and love for his countrymen.

Malayang Hakbang: Edsa Revolution on 25 Years

2 comments:
A lot of demonstrations and protests are happening around the world lately, especially on the Middle East. Tunisia and Egypt cried foul on their government and soon ousted their presidents. Inspired by this events, Libya as well is currently uprising with the government of Gaddafi. Algeria and Yemen are also on this undertaking.

But long before, Filipinos have aimed the same with all the countries mentioned earlier. Even if I was still a baby back then, it has already been part of our history and will always be part of every Filipinos lives as we impart it to our youth. In 1986, we have restored democracy by our very own people power that is now known as the EDSA Revolution, and headlined as the revolution that surprised the world. Now, we are on its 25th year of celebrating our democracy.

Mike, the kind of guy friend in twitter :) asked me about plans for EDSA celebration. I just replied back maybe I'd simply be free without any thing in mind how to be one. LOL

Yesterday, my brothers asked me to join a run in Vigan. It is a freedom fun run in celebration of the 25th anniversary of EDSA Revolution. So I did join and made it on a 5k run.. Cheers for freedom!!!

Maria Aragon and Lady Gaga is Born This Way

No comments:
The leader of online video, YouTube, has yet again produced another star that can now be lined up with Charice Pempengco, Joseph Vincent and a lot more talents.

Maria Aragon is a 10 year old Filipino Canadian who made a cover of Lady Gaga's newest album and single entitled Born This Way where Gaga performed last week for the Grammys 2011.

Aragon's video is nearing 12 million hits already in just a week since it was uploaded. Lady Gaga tweeted,
"@ladygaga : Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG0wi1m-89o"
and soon invited Aragon to join in her concert in Toronto.

Just recently, Ellen De Generes also met the young youtube sensation, Maria Aragon who dreams to perform for Ellen too.

One thing I can say is that she's really good and I'm proud of her.
