Mactan Shrine is located in Punta Engaño, Mactan Island, Cebu where Statue of Lapu-lapu is erected to honor him for defeating Spanish soldiers, and Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the Battle of Mactan on 1521.

Magellan's Cross is a symbol of Cebu housed in a chapel next to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño on Magallanes Street, just in front of the city hall of Cebu City. It is a military defence structure, built by Spanish and indigenous Cebuano labourers under the command of Spanish conquistador, Miguel López de Legazpi and the Spanish Government in Cebu.

i reside in Cebu for three years, but i must say i havent been to most of those places you mentioned there.as a matter of fact, i have never been to the taoist temple, I think i want to go to Tops,

@llenov: ayun, nilagay ko sa new post ko - umuungol ang gabi... ryt now, wala pa kaming kuryente at sa ibang part ng metro manila eh.. wala na naman ulan at malakas na hangin dito.. alam ko nasa zambales na si basyang?! kayo jan? :p

I love cebu . I was on trip to cebu a couple of weeks ago . And i find it so peaceful specially the beaches upnorth . Been to bantayan , camotes , moalboal and theyre all beautiful. Malapascua and the rest of the beaches is on my bucket list.. I followed your blog so i can get back and check your updates too. thanks and happy blogging.
